I'm an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Santa Cruz.  I write about affective response, its normative evaluation, and its role in interpersonal morality.

Before coming to UCSC, I was an Extraordinary Junior Research Fellow at The Queen's College, Oxford and an ERC Research Fellow on the project Roots of Responsibility.  Before that, I was a graduate student at Harvard, where I earned my PhD in May 2021. My dissertation offered an account and evaluation of blame.

You can find a more detailed description of my research, along with links to some of my work and syllabi, above.
